ICESKIN BASELAYER
Chosen by champions, and built for every journey, the new Zerofit IceSkin Baselayer is breaking fresh ground in performance clothing technology for motorcyclists during the hot summer months.
Developed in partnership with Glenn Irwin, the most successful superbike rider in the history of the prestigious North West 200 road race, the unisex IceSkin fuses two key technologies – Cool Stamp Tech® and Rhombus Mesh Design - to keep riders cool and sweat free.
The most technologically advanced baselayer in our collection, the Zerofit IceSkin will completely transform your riding experience in temperatures up to 40° Celsius.

The IceSkin uses Cool Stamp Tech® on the front portion of the Baselayer - when the cooling print absorbs moisture (sweat) generated by the skin, its heat absorption properties lower the temperature of the fabric, providing a cool sensation.
The product was subject to Q-max testing at the Boken Quality Evaluation Institute, Japan’s leading organisation for clothing and textile fabric analysis – this examination offers up an analysis of how cool the surface of the IceSkin fabric is. The higher the Q-max value, the cooler the fabric.
Currently, if the Q-max value of a product is 0.1 W/cm2 or more, it is recognized as having ‘cool contact performance’. The IceSkin recorded a value of 0.358W/cm2 – whereas a standard competitor product would typically score below 0.1 W/cm2, a measurement method defined by Japanese Industrial Standards.

The new Rhombus Mesh Design on the back of the baselayer has been innovated to target the area where perspiration builds up the most.
The unique structure lets in air and quickly absorbs and disperses moisture from inside the garment, preventing unpleasant stickiness and chills from sweat, and helping to keep you dry and comfortable.
The thin, lightweight fabric features optimal stretch capacities, allowing riders to move freely without stress.

During the last 12 months, Zerofit designers in Japan used insights from Glenn Irwin throughout the creative process of building a baselayer like no other, and the Northern Irishman has already won on the Bennetts BSB circuit wearing a prototype of the IceSkin with victory at Donington Park in September.
The short-sleeved design reduces the impact of ‘arm pump’ by keeping the forearm free from any tightness for additional comfort.
The silky-smooth finish of the IceSkin also makes it easier to wear under your leathers or jacket in the hot, sticky months, a problem all motorcyclists are familiar with.
The Ice Skin also uses Polygiene StayFresh™ silver ion antibacterial treatment which suppresses 99% of odour-causing bacteria and additionally helps to eliminate sweat odour.
