⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Zerofit Cold Skin Baselayer - ‘Gloriously cool in hot weather’ - Motorcycle News
This is the latest news in esteemed biking publication Motorcycle News (MCN), following testing on the Zerofit Cold Skin Baselayer that took place over the course of a year and 5,000 miles on the road.
‘I find that staying cool can be a real problem in warm weather, especially if I'm not getting the airflow for effective ventilation. Moisture wicking base layers go a certain way towards alleviating the issue however the Zerofit Cold Skin actually feels cool against the body as soon as you put it on,’ writes Justin Hayzelden, who has been contributing to MCN since 2009.
After independent testing, he awarded the product FIVE STARS for both Quality and Value.
‘The combination of moisture wicking and quick drying properties further adds to that cooling sensation, and it can feel positively cold when you do get airflow. I experienced this in the extreme when sitting at a café after 14 miles of slow-going gravel trail in the Italian Alps. I was practically shivering in the sun when I took my jacket off and was exposed to a light breeze - it was absolutely glorious!’ he added.
While summer has yet to hit the heights of previous years so far in terms of consistently hot temperatures, motorcyclists have still been quick to purchase the Cold Skin Baselayer (£55) that was independently tested and proven to be three times colder than a standard competitor product, delivering instant cool, dry comfort in temperatures of up to 40° Celsius.
Integral to this breakthrough development in the baselayer market is ‘Cold-to-Touch’ (CTT) Technology. Cold from the moment it touches your skin, the baselayer technology utilises innovative fibres that are engineered to absorb heat and spread it over the body surface.
This quickly delivers an efficient cooling feeling which can help boost concentration in the hottest of conditions. The thin and lightweight fabric disperses sweat rapidly creating a quick dry feeling without stress on the skin or causing a restriction of movement. It also uses Polygiene StayFresh™ silver ion antibacterial treatment which suppresses 99% of odour-causing bacteria and additionally helps to eliminate sweat odour.
And now bikers can experience the same benefits on their lower half with the brand-new Cold Skin Leggings (£55) which are designed from the same material and work in the same way as the baselayer.
The product was subject to Q-max testing at the Kaken Test Centre in Japan – this examination offers up an analysis of how cool the surface of the Cold Skin fabric is. The higher the Q-max value, the cooler the fabric.
If the Q-max value of a product is 0.1 W/cm2 or more, it is recognized as having ‘cool contact performance’. The Cold Skin recorded a value of 0.298W/cm2 – whereas a standard competitor product would typically score below 0.1 W/cm2, a measurement method defined by Japanese Industrial Standards.
