SCUBA DOOBY DOO! Zerofit Dives Into The Water World With Heatrub Ultimate Products!
Towards the end of 2022, we were approached by a Zerofit customer who happened to be a very keen scuba diver - he had bought the Heatrub Ultimate Baselayer (£55) for sailing but had been instantly impressed by the warmth on offer, so he tested it under the sea.
His experiences were that positive - just the one Ultimate baselayer beneath an undersuit and drysuit - he called to tell us and suggested we take a serious look at the market as a possible home for Zerofit – The World’s Warmest Baselayer®.
And that’s just what we did. Fast forward 17 months, and we’re starting to make waves - or certainly ripples - in the diving world. Here’s why the Ultimate Baselayer and Leggings are perfect for the sport.
IT’S FIVE TIMES THAN A STANDARD BASELAYER
That is quite a claim, but it’s a fact. Tested at the iconic Boken Institute in Osaka, the Heatrub Ultimate Baselayer recorded a Heat Retention Rating of 0.78; a standard product would have a rating of between 0.1 to 0.14.
The Ultimate performs best in a temperature range of -10° thru 10° Celsius making it an essential piece of kit.
INSTANT HEAT THE MOMENT YOU PUT IT ON
A standard baselayer traps body heat between your skin and the material, so it takes a little time before you feel the benefits.
With the Heatrub Ultimate, five separate fabrics, along with a patented knitting process, create instant warmth as soon as you pull it on and the construction of the baselayer means the warmth is retained for the duration of your dive.
FEWER LAYERS, GREATER WARMTH AND FREEDOM TO MOVE
Multiple layers may keep you insulated in cold water for some of the time, but they restrict movement. However, the Ultimate is so good at keeping divers warm, you just need our baselayer, plus an undersuit beneath the drysuit.
While other brands rely on compression for heat, our unique fabric mix means you don’t need the tightness in order for it to work, making it super comfortable too.
HEAT THREADS FOR TOP-TO-TOE WARMTH IN THE WATER
Innovative ‘Heat Threads’ (pictured) positioned on the inside of the Ultimate garment gently rub against your skin as you move, which creates positive warmth across your body.
We also produce Heatrub Ultimate Leggings (£55) and Socks (£25) that are made from the same material and work in exactly the same way, so you can have top-to-toe warmth with Zerofit. The products also dry after washing in double quick time, too.
As the scuba season gets underway, be warmer than ever in the water with Zerofit.
