‘Cooling that really works! Nothing short of a revelation’ – MCN

After 800 miles of testing across two of the hottest months on record, this is the independent view of Motorcycle News (MCN) Editor Emma Franklin on our IceSkin baselayer that has been a game changer for bikers this summer.
Developed in partnership with racing star Glenn Irwin, the IceSkin (£59.95) has been designed to deliver cool contact performance and superior moisture wicking for tourers, adventure riders, MX, Enduro and racers in temperatures up to 40° Celsius.

‘Nothing short of a revelation during this stinking-hot summer. From the moment you put it on, the delicate ultra-thin stretch fabric literally gives you a cooling sensation on your skin which amplifies as soon as air starts moving over it,’ reports Emma.
‘I’ve worn it (IceSkin) beneath both textile and leather jackets, and it’s massively reduced how much my skin sweats – further helped by the Rhombus Mesh Design on the back which boosts airflow, particularly beneath a back protector. Dries quickly and feels comfy against the skin,’ she adds.

The Mesh Design was a key factor in the design of the IceSkin baselayer as it targets the back where sweat often accumulates and makes journeys in the heat uncomfortable.
The unique structure lets in air and quickly absorbs and disperses moisture from inside the garment, preventing unpleasant stickiness and chills from sweat, and helping to keep you dry and comfortable.

On the front of the IceSkin, engineers utilised Cool Stamp Tech® to give riders that instant cold sensation.
It is the baselayer choice of more than 60 elite riders in the BSB Championship, as well as adventure riding legend Charley Boorman.
The baselayer is available in both long and short sleeve, in black or white and sizes range from XS-3XL. Check out the full review in this week’s MCN, on sale now!
