Country Walking Magazine Gear of the Year – Zerofit Move Baselayer

The Zerofit Heatrub Move baselayer has won a place in Country Walking Magazine’s prestigious Gear of the Year 2021, seeing off the challenge of many other baselayers in the process after 12 months of walking thousands of miles in pursuit of product and innovation excellence.

The selection comes just a month after the Heatrub Ultimate won Today’s Golfer Magazine’s Baselayer Test, with seasoned hikers and casual walkers also recognising the quality of Zerofit – The World’s Warmest Baselayer®.

‘It’s billed as being twice as warm as its nearest competitor, but crucially it’s adaptable warmth: it responds to your activity, being toasty when you’re paused and regulating the heat effectively when you’re moving strenuously,’ commented Nick Hallissey, the magazine’s deputy editor.

Mr Koji Higashi, founder of Zerofit, expressed his gratitude to the publication for the recognition.

‘We are delighted to see the Heatrub Move chosen from hundreds of products by the team at Country Walking in their ‘Gear of the Year’ and we are grateful to them for their review which highlights the quality of the baselayer. We hope the Move will enable millions of passionate walkers around the world to continue doing what they love doing, even during the colder winter months,’ he said.

The Heatrub Move baselayer (£40) which has been independently tested and proven to be twice as warm as a standard baselayer. It features a 45% polypropylene construction on the inside of the baselayer as well as a hollow polyester shell that work in tandem to regulate body temperature, so as walkers work harder for longer, they don’t overheat in the conditions.

The construction removes sweat from the skin and the hollow polyester design and ‘LABO’ fabric ensures it evaporates off the surface of the garment quickly, so the unpleasant experience of cold sweat on the body never materialises.

The December issue of Country Walking is now on sale, and you can read the full review on page 83. The Move is now available in white for the first time, as well as black and titanium.
